The last creation of this famous, world-known violinist is the INTERNATIONAL ION VOICU FOUNDATION which have been officialy opened the 8th of September, 1995, in the presence of his Honorary President, Lord Yehudi Menuhin. Members of Honor are great artistical and cultural personalities. To name just a few: Zubin Mehta, Salvatore Accardo, Liviu Ciulei, Silvia Marcovici, Eugen Sârbu, Cristoph Eschenbach, Roman Vlad, Igor Oistrakh, Nicolae Herlea, Sergiu Comissiona, Arta Florescu, Roberto Benzi, Andrei Serban, Valentin Gheorghiu, Radu Aldulescu, Valentin Orlov, Irinel Liciu, Magdalena Popa, Gerard Poulet, Viorica Cortez, Stefan Gheorghiu, Marin Constantin, Eugenia Moldoveanu, Iosif Conta, Ion Irimescu, Thérese Dussaut, Oleg Danovschi, Wolfgang Marschner, Mihaela Martin, Ilarion and Florin Ionescu Galati.

The foundation's purpose is to form and to support the young Romanian musicians, as well as of other nationalities, which prove an exceptional talent and wish to dedicate themselves to an artistic career. For that aim we shall offer them international Master Classes, we shall prepare them to participate at prestigious competitions; we shall organize auditions and concerts in Romania and abroad. As part of the foundation there will be a library with musical scores, video and audio cassettes, records LP and CD, books of musical profile, history, philosophy, which will be available for young to aged persons. One of the important purposes of the foundation is also, to propagate the symphonic music everywhere in the world and to develop the international cultural contacts of high level. We have many other aims that can be discovered, reading the statute of the "INTERNATIONAL ION VOICU FOUNDATION". The president of the foundation is Mrs.Madeleine Voicu.
